Preliminary study on the effects of six kinds of seed coating agents on sesame wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum
Seed coating is an effective means to control the seedling wilt of crops caused by soil and seed carrying pathogenic fungus. In this study, the effects of six kinds of seed-coating agents on the prevention and treatment of sesame Fusarium wilt were evaluated by petri dish culture and pot experiment. The results showed that compared with pot experiment, petri dish culture method was feasible, simple and rapid for screening sesame seed-coating agent. In the pot experiment, carbendazim·thiram 15%FSC showed the good control effects, followed by difenoconazole 30 g/L FSC and thiamethoxam·fludioxonil·metalaxyl-M 25%FSC.The control efficacy of carbendazim·thiram 15%FSC reached 97%15 days after sowing and maintained above 50%45 days after sowing. The optimal concentrations of carbendazim·thiram 15%FSC,difenoconazole 30 g/L FSC and thiamethoxam·fludioxonil·metalaxyl-M 25%FSC were 11.11,7.50 mL/kg and 30 mL/kg,respectively.This study provided a simple and rapid method for preliminary screening seed coating agents for sesame, and three kinds of seed coating agents with good control effect were screened out.
