Survey of occurrence damage and regularity of algae spot disease in Yunnan province
During recent years, algae spot disease has becoming one of the major diseases for the cassava production in China. In order to effectively prevent algae spot disease in local cassava area, this article systematically investigated the occurrence of algae spot disease and monthly average temperature, daily average temperature difference and field humidity in Lujiang,Baoshan City, and revealed the incidence of algae spot disease and the epidemic factors. The results showed that all the 126 cassava germplasm were damaged by algae spot disease. The major cassava cultivars, such as'Huanan 124''Nanzhi 188'and'Nanzhi 199',were found sensitive to the disease, with the disease index of more than 30.The epidemic rule results showed that the occurrence of the disease in this area begins in mid to late August, with its peak from late November to early December. The fitting analysis results showed that monthly average temperature, daily average temperature difference and humidity significantly affected the disease severity, which fit the nonlinear regression equation Y=38.609 6-2.103 3X1-0.517 5X2+0.325X3,indicating that the severity of algae spot disease were negatively correlated with monthly average temperature and daily average temperature difference, but positively correlated with humidity.
