Monitoring of resistance of Panonychus citri to chlorfenapyr and diafenthiuron in Guangxi
This study aimed to investigate the changes in resistance of citrus mites to chlorfenapyr and diafenthiuron in Guangxi. The leaf plate immersion method was used to determine the resistance of citrus mites from Yangshuo,Lipu,Wuming,Luzhai,Yongfu, and Lingchuan in Guangxi from 2022 to 2024 to chlorfenapyr and diafenthiuron.Indoor bioassay results showed that in 2022,all five populations were at a moderate level of resistance to diafenthiuron(39.2-78.7 times),Yangshuo,Yongfu, and Lipu showed moderate resistance to chlorfenapyr(45.4-93.6 times),while Wuming(192.6 times)and Luzhai(125.3 times)showed high level of resistance. In 2023,the population in Yangshuo showed moderate resistance, while the rest of the population reached high level of resistance to chlorfenapyr and diafenthiuron.Field trials demonstrated that chlorfenapyr 240 g/L SC 1 000-fold had the best control effect with efficacy of 76.7%after one day of treatment and up to 98.9%after 15 days of treatment. The citrus mites from Lipu,Wuming,Luzhai, and Yongfu in Guangxi have reached high level of resistance to chlorfenapyr and diafenthiuron, and their use should be suspended.
