Abstract

In May of 2021,a leaf spot disease of the herbal medicine Dysosma versipellis was observed,and it occured seriously in Shiyan of Hubei Province.Diseased leaves of D.versipellis were collected,pathogen was isolated by tissue cultural-method,and its pathogenicity was confirmed according to the Koch's postulates.Based on the morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis by combination of ITS region and EF1-α gene sequences,pathogen was identified as Alternaria alternata.This is the first report leaf spot of Dysosma versipel-lis caused by A.alternata in China.
