Objective: to analysis method for the treatment of elderly patients with diabetes in the application of insulin, the causes and nursing measures and hypoglycemia reaction. Methods: analysis of 90 patients in ourdepartment were elderly diabetes mel itus, the implementation of routine nursing measures were divided into control group, the observation groupcauses and nursing of hypoglycemia complication, the incidence and blood glucose control compared two groups of patients with hypotension. Results: the study showed that hypoglycemia and improper diet, excessive exercise,improper use of drugs and the dosage of insulin were observed, blood glucose control and hypoglycemic patients in the implementation of the nursing measures of patients after was significantly better than the control group, by comparison with significant difference (P<0.05). Results: to strengthen the education of elderly patients with diabetes related diseases,prevention of senile diabetic hypoglycemia, effective control of blood glucose, improve the life quality of the patients.
