Clinical observation of general anesthesia in patients with ocular injuries
Objective To understand the status of general anesthesia in patients with ocular injuries and trauma factors, explore effective protective measures. Methods a retrospective case series study. The accidental eye symptoms appeared in 2011 June ~2012 year in June my courtyard 2323 patients after general anesthesia underwent routine eye exams, interviews with history, operation physicians and medical staff in the Department of anesthesia, access to medical records, analysis of the mechanism of injury and clinical manifestations. Results the unexpected eye symptoms after consultation, examination of the Department of ophthalmology in 62 eyes of 74 patients after general anesthesia, general anesthesia for 2.67%of the number of long time exposure, damage the main source, chemical corrosion, mechanical abrasion, foreign body and secondary infection in ocular surface etc.. Conclusions ocular surface injury under general anesthesia anesthesia complications easily overlooked, in addition to the inherent reason of anesthesia, intraoperative cleaning, disinfection solution into the conjunctival sac, operation room environment, medical personnel eye protection consciousness or improper, the main reason is caused by ocular injuries.
