OBJECTIVE To investigate, analysis the clinical application of narcotic drugs in a county hospital, to provide a basis for reasonable application. METHODS: to analysis the statistical data of the use, consumption amount, DDDs, and DDC of narcotic drugs in a county hospital in 2010-2012. RESULTS: the annual consumption amounts of narcotic drugs in recent 3 years are 17.1050,28.3398,35.8552 Mil ion yuan respectively, and the injection drugs account for 89.56%, 95.27%, 95.88%. The top 3 Defined Daily Dose (DDDs) are Remifentanil Hydrochloride, Propofol Injection and Pethidine Hydrochloride Injection. CONCLUSION: the clinical application of narcotic drugs in the hospital is unreasonable, in the medication way of cancer narcotic drugs injection is more than oral intake, continuous overdose exists. The clinical prescription of narcotic drugs should fol ow the rule that taking oral intakes like Morphine Sulfate Sustained-release Tabelets as the first choice of analgesic drugs, and choose strong opioid +/- nonopioid analgesics +/- aided drugs for patients with severe pains.
