Objective To evaluate the clinical value of EVLT treatment of saphenous varicose veins. Methods between August 2009 to September 2013 100 patients with symptomatic patients (103 limbs) received endovenous laser surgery (laser group) with the same period 90 (100 limbs) segmentation and stripping surgery patients (pumping stripping group) fol ow-up data, after comparing the two groups of patients with deep vein thrombosis, nerve damage, symptoms, recurrence, time to resume normal activities. Results: The two groups were formed in the postoperative deep vein thrombosis was no significant difference(P>0.05), endovenous laser low incidence of postoperative nerve damage(P<0.05), symptoms improved significantly(P<0.05), resume normal activities a short time(P<0.05), but endovenous laser pumping recurrence rate than stripping surgery is high(P<0.05). Conclusion: Endovenous laser treatment of great saphenous vein rapid postoperative recovery, low complication rate, but there are certain recurrence rate.
