Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of saccharomyces boulardi sachet in the treatment of neonatal jaundice. Method: Retrospective study was conducted on 220 cases with neonatal jaundice treated from January 2012 to November 2013. In control group (85 cases) rountine blue light therapy was used, while in observation group (135 cases) saccharomyces boulardi sachet was used in combination with routine therapy. Result: In the observation group, the daily reduction of bilirubin level was significantly higher compared with that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: saccharomyces boulardi sachet is efficient in treating neonatal jaundice by reducing the hospitalization time and preventing bilirubin encephalophathy.
