OBJECTIVE: To investigate the VSD closed drainage under the lower extremity orthopedic trauma clinical results. Methods: From orthopedic hospital in January 2012 to January 2014 are treated 45 cases of lower extremity trauma patients conducted VSD closure drainage therapy were retrospectively analyzed clinical data. Results: Postoperative wound healing in this group of patients is good, much better than before treatment (P <0.05), the average length of stay was (19.2 ± 1.7) days, no cases of serious complications, only 1 patient had mild infections, after timely treatment, the symptoms of recovery. Conclusion: VSD closed drainage in the lower limb trauma significant clinical effect, effectively reducing the risk of infection, to al eviate the suffering of patients, simple operation, short treatment time, reduce the financial burden on patients, worthy of further promotion and clinical application.
