Objective To observe the clinical effect of hyperbaric oxygen on cerebral apoplexy patient. Methods 70 patient with cerebral apoplexy were randomly divided into two groups, the control group and the HPO group, 35 cases were included in each group. Al the two groups were treated with routine medication. Besides regular medication, the HPO group was treated by two courses of HPO treatment, each course consisted of 10-days treatment, 60 min treatment each day. Observing the curative effect, scores of neurologic impairment and Barthel index before and after the treatment of each group. Results There was significant difference in curative effect, the scores of neurologic impairment and Barthel index between the two groups and the results of the two groups before and after the treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine medication, HPO treatment could improve significantly the curative effect and the long-term prognosis.
