To study the safety of lateral femoral intramuscular injection in the application of vaccine. Method: the inoculation of inactivated poliovirus vaccine in 966 infants were randomly divided into 2 groups, the observation group of 483 cases with femoral lateral thigh meat inoculation; the control group of 483 patients with deltoid inoculation, the two groups were observed after inoculation, adverse reactions and satisfaction of parents. Observation of 0-7 days, results: in the observation group, only 9 cases of injection site redness, fever in 3 cases. The local hot compress or drinking water treatment for 2 to 3 days al returned to normal; while the control group with 21 cases of injection site redness, have a fever 12 cases, including 1 cases of inflammation, fever, need anti-inflammatory cooling treatment. The observation group satisfaction of parents of 96.81%, higher than that of the control group 92.44%. Conclusion: lateral femoral intramuscular vaccination is safe and reliable, high degree of satisfaction of the parents, it is worthy of clinical application.
