Identification of Aphelenchoides salixae intercepted in pine packaging wood from South Korea
During the quarantine of a batch of pine packaging wood imported from South Korea,a popu-lation of nematodes belonging to the genus Aphelenchoides was detected.Based on its morphological char-acteristics,it is similar to the Aphelenchoides salixae,and the ribosomal 28S D2-D3 region sequences is iden-tical to A.salixae sequences submitted in the GenBank.The phylogenetic tree shows that the nematode population intercepted from packaging wood is clustered on one branch with A.salixae.It was identified as A salixae.The nematode was first discovered in Iran in 2017 and has been reported in other provinces of Iran,but has not been reported in other countries.This is the first time that China has intercepted this nematode.
