Identification and evaluation of resistance of 14 Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm resources to pear fire blight
The pear fire blight resistance of 14 Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.ge-rmplasm resources was evaluated by in vitro inoculation of young leaves and shoots, and the pear fire blight resistant Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm resources were screened. The results showed that the young leaves and shoots of 14 Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm were mainly susceptible to fire disease(S),the proportion of young leaves susceptible to disease(S)was 57.14%,and the proportion of shoots susceptible to disease(S)was 71.43%,and the Malus siever-sii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm with high resistance(HR)and resistance(R)were not screened. There is only one Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm variety'Xia'that exhibits moderate resistance(MR)on young leaves, while showing moderate susceptibility(MS)on young shoots, demonstrating the strongest overall disease resistance among the Malus sieversii f.neidzwetzkyana(Dieck)Langenf.germplasm resources. This can provide theoretical basis for Malus sieversii f neidzwet-zkyana(Dieck)Langenf.breeding for disease resistance in the future.
