Occurrence and research progress of tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus
Tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus(ToLCNDV)is a two-component single stranded DNA virus mainly transmitted by Bemisia tabaci. The host range of ToLCNDV is very wide, involving 19 families such as Solanaceae,Cucurbitaceae,Fabaceae,Malvaceae, etc. The virus was first discovered in India in 1995,and was introduced into mainland China in 2021,showing a trend of spread, posing a serious threat to the production of Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae crops in China. This article provides a review of the host range, harmful characteristics, geographical distribution, transmission mode, genome and evolution,de-tection methods, and prevention and control of the virus,in order to provide reference for the prevention and control of the virus.
