Objective:To analyze the improvement effect of indapamide combined with valsartan on blood pressure and renal function in hypertensive patients with diabetes.Methods:A retrospective study was carried out in 78 patients with confirmed di-agnosis from July 2020 to June 2022.According to the mode of medication,the patients were divided into two groups:the con-trol group(n=39)used valsartan from July 2020 to June 2021,and the observation group(n=39)from July 2021 to June 2022.The number of patients was equal.In combination with indapamide,the clinical efficacy,blood pressure,insulin resist-ance and renal function of the two groups were compared.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher,and the comparison between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in blood pressure,insulin resistance and renal function between the two groups before medication(P＞0.05).After drug treat-ment,the levels of diastolic blood pressure,systolic blood pressure,insulin resistance,blood creatinine,urea nitrogen and uri-nary microalbumin were lower in the observation group,and the insulin secretion index and insulin sensitivity index were higher in the two groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Indapamide combined with valsartan in the treatment of hypertension with diabetes can better control blood pressure to reach the standard,reduce insulin resistance,improve renal function,and significantly im-prove the therapeutic effect.
