Effects of cervical dilator rod and carboprost suppository on success rate of ring removal and cervical softening degree in postmenopausal women with history of cervical surgery
Objective:To analyze the effect of cervical dilator and carboprost suppository in postmenopausal women with history of cervical surgery. Methods:A total of 68 postmenopausal women with a history of cervical surgery who underwent elective ring removal at the Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning Service Center in Yicheng District from April 2020 to April 2022 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The control group was given cervical dilation rod,and the observation group was given carboprost methyl suppository. The success rate of one-time ring removal, the degree of pain 30 minutes after operation, and the degree of cervical softening were compared between the two groups. Results:The success rate of one-time ring removal in the observation group was[94.12%(32/34)]was higher than that in the control group[76.47%(26/34)],VAS score 30 min after surgery[(2.05±0.31)points]was lower than the control group[(2.67±0.45)points],cervical softening degree[94.12%(32/34)]was better than the control group[76.47%(26/34)],with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with cervical dilation rod, carboprost suppository is more effective in ring removal for postmenopausal women with history of cervical surgery, which can more effectively reduce postoperative pain, improve cervical softening, and obtain excellent one-time ring removal. It has a high success rate,is safe and reliable, and can be vigorously promoted in clinical practice.
