The correlation between the occurrence of pneumonia and the parameters of serum ferritin and erythrocyte in infants
Objective:To explore and analysis the correlation between the occurrence of pneumonia and the parameters of serum ferritin and erythrocyte in infants.Method:76 cases of infant pneumonia treated in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the pneumonia group, and 76 healthy infants examined in our hospital during the same period were select-ed as the control group. The serum ferritin and erythrocyte parameters of the infants in the pneumonia group and the control group were detected, and the lung function of the infants was investigated and the correlation was analyzed.Result:The serum ferritin content of pneumonia group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).The peak expiratory flow rate, forced vital capacity and forced expiratory volume in the first second of the pneumonia group were significantly decreased compared with the control group(P<0.05).The distribution width of red blood cells(RDW)in pneumonia group was signif-icantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05),and the mean volume of red blood cells(MCV),mean hemoglobin con-tent of red blood cells(MCH)and mean hemoglobin concentration of red blood cells(MCHC)were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Spearman analysis showed that the incidence of pneumonia was correlated with serum fer-ritin content,MCHC,MCH,MCV,RDW,etc.(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that serum ferritin content,MCHC,MCH,MCV and RDW were important factors leading to pneumonia(P<0.05).Conclusion:Conclusion:Infantile pneumonia is usually accompanied by increased serum ferritin content and decreased lung function, and abnormal e-rythrocyte parameters. The occurrence of infantile pneumonia is correlated with serum ferritin and erythrocyte parameters.
