Observation on the efficacy and adverse reactions of herbal lavage combined with nano silver antibacterial hydrogel in the treatment of vaginitis
Objective:To investigate the effects of herbal lavage combined with nano silver antibacterial hydrogel in the treat-ment of vaginitis,and observe the occurrence of adverse reactions.Method:From April 2020 to February 2023,94 cases of pa-tients with vaginitis who were diagnosed and treated at our hospital were selected as the research subjects.Accorded to a 1∶1 random number table method,the 94 patients were divided into the study group of 47 cases and the matched group of 47 cases.The matched group were treated with metronidazole,and the study group were treated with herbal lavage combined with nano silver antibacterial hydrogel.Both groups were treated and observed for 8 weeks,and recorded the treatment effect and adverse reactions.Result:After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rates of the study group(97.97%)was significantly higher than that of the matched group(85.11%)(P<0.05).The relief time of vulvar itching,abnormal vaginal discharge,and muco-sal congestion in the study group were significantly shorter(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions such as rash,nau-sea and vomiting,abdominal distension and pain,and fever during the 8-week treatment period in the study group were 4.26%,compared to 21.28%in the matched group.The study group showed significant decreased compared to the matched group(P<0.05).The serum interleukin-6 and transforming growth factor-1βlevels after 8 weeks of treatment in two groups were were all lower than before treatment,and the serum interleukin-6 and transforming growth factor-1βlevels after 8 weeks of treatment in the study group were significantly reduced compared to the matched group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Herbal lavage combined with nano silver antibacterial hydrogel can improve the therapeutic effect,promote the alleviation of clinical symptoms,reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions,and inhibit release of serum interleukin-6 and transforming growth fac-tor-1 in patients with vaginitis.
