Expression and clinical significance of serum folic acid, squamous cell associated antigen and carcinoembryonic antigen in patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer
Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of folic acid(Fa),squamous cell associated antigen(SCC-Ag)and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in serum of patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer.Methods:70 patients with cervical cancer admitted to our hospital from July 2019 to July 2023 were selected, all of whom re-ceived concurrent chemoradiotherapy and were divided into good prognosis group(n=47)and poor prognosis group(n=23)ac-cording to the different prognosis. The levels of Fa,SCC-Ag and CEA before and after concurrent chemoradiation were com-pared,the general data and differences of Fa,SCC-Ag and CEA between the good prognosis group and the poor prognosis group were compared, and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the application value of Fa,SCC-Ag and CEA in the prognosis assessment of cervical cancer before concurrent chemoradiation and chemotherapy. Results:Fa and SCC-Ag and CEA were higher after chemoradiotherapy than before chemoradiotherapy in 70 patients(P<0.05).After concurrent chemoradiotherapy, there were 47 cases(67.14%)with good prognosis and 23 cases(32.86%)with poor prognosis.Fa in the good prognosis group was higher than that in the poor prognosis group,SCC-Ag and CEA were lower than that in the poor prognosis group(P<0.05).ROC curve showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of Fa,SCC-Ag and CEA3 combined to evaluate the poor prognosis of concurrent chemoradiotherapy for cervical cancer was 0.812(0.749~0.875),which was high-er than that of single index(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fa expression is low in the poor prognosis of concurrent chemoradiotherapy of cervical cancer,SCC-Ag and CEA expression is high in the poor prognosis of concurrent chemoradiotherapy of cervical canc-er,which can reflect the effect of concurrent chemoradiotherapy of cervical cancer patients, and can provide a reference for prognosis prediction.
