Expression of serum PRL,CA125 and VEGF after modified radical surgery for breast cancer and its predictive value for recurrence and metastasis
Objective:To investigate the expression of serum prolactin(PRL),carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and endothe-lial growth factor(VEGF)in patients with breast cancer after modified radical surgery and the predictive value of recurrence and metastasis. Methods From August 2020 to January 2023,70 patients with breast cancer who underwent modified radical mastectomy were selected as the observation group, and 70 patients with benign breast diseases were included as the control group. The expression levels of PRL,CA125 and VEGF were compared between the two groups, and patients in the observa-tion group were followed up for 12 months. The observation group was divided into a recurrence and metastasis group(n=15)and a non-recurrence and metastasis group(n=55)according to whether breast cancer had recurred and metastasized. The clin-ical data and expression levels of PRL,CA125 and VEGF in the two groups were compared, and ROC curves were drawn. To analyze the value of serum PRL,CA125 and VEGF in predicting recurrence and metastasis after modified radical surgery for breast cancer. Results The levels of PRL,CA125 and VEGF in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).In the observation group,15 cases(21.43%)showed recurrence and metastasis, while 55 cases(78.57%)did not.The proportion of HER2 positive and P53 positive patients in the relapsed and metastatic group was higher than that in the non-relapsed and metastatic group, and the serum levels of PRL,CA125 and VEGF were higher than those in the non-relapsed and metastatic group(P<0.05).ROC curve showed that the combined efficacy of PRL,CA125 and VEGF3 indexes in pre-dicting recurrence and metastasis after modified radical breast cancer was higher than that of single index(AUC:0.857,95%CI:0.748~0.966).Conclusion Serum PRL,CA125 and VEGF are highly expressed in patients with breast cancer and in re-currence and metastasis after modified radical breast cancer surgery. The combined detection of PRL,CA125 and VEGF has high predictive value for recurrence and metastasis after modified radical breast cancer surgery.
