The analysis of the expected length of admission in pregnant women with preterm premature rupture of membranes and its influence on pregnancy outcome
Objective:To analyze the factors related to the expected time of admission in pregnant women with preterm prema-ture rupture of membranes and the influence on pregnancy outcome. Methods:Data of 100 cases were reviewed from January 2021 to January 2024.According to whether the expected admission time was more than 3 days, they were divided into two groups,namely<3 days(n=38)and 3 days(n=62).Comparing the general data, clinical characteristics and pregnancy out-come of the two groups, the factors affecting the length of hospital expectation and the influence on pregnancy outcome.Re-sults:<3d groups showed significant differences between gestational age,WBC at admission,CRP at admission, cervical length<20mm,80%of admission cervical regression, oligohydramnios and the proportion of positive vaginal secretion culture and≥3d groups(P<0.05);Gestational age,WBC at admission,CRP at admission, cervical length and oligohydramnios were independent risk factors for maternal expectancy(all P<0.05);The incidence of cesarean section and neonatal intensive care unit was significantly higher in<3d than in≥3d group(P<0.05),The incidence of clinical chorioamnionitis was signif-icantly lower in the<3d group than in the≥3d group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Gestational age,WBC at admission,CRP at admission, proportion of cervical length<20mm,80%of admission cervical regression, proportion of oligohydramnios and proportion of positive vaginal secretion culture were all risk factors affecting the expected time of admission in non-term fetal women.Extending the hospital waiting time for women with premature rupture of membranes at full term has a certain impact on their pregnancy outcomes, which can improve fetal outcomes but increase the risk of complications for pregnant women.
