The effect of early salt supplementation on nutritional indicators and symptom improvement in children with diarrhea
Objective:To explore and analysis the effects of early salt supplementation on nutritional indicators and symptom im-provement in children with diarrhea.Methods:90 children with diarrhea diagnosed and treated in a hospital from August 2019 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Accorded to the principle of 1∶1 random Coin flipping flipping,90 patients were divided into two groups. The control group were treated with conventional drugs, while the experimental group were trea-ted with early salt supplementation on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated and observed for 7 days, all the cases were to observe changes in nutritional indicators and symptom improvement in the children.Result:After 7 days of treat-ment,compared to the total effective rates of the control group(82.2%),that in the experimental group(97.8%)were signifi-cantly higher(P<0.05).All patients did not experience serious adverse reactions or discontinuation of medication during the 7-day treatment period.Compared to the time for stopping diarrhea and the disappearance of clinical symptoms such as vomi-ting,abdominal pain, and loss of appetite in the control group, those in the experimental group were significantly shorter(P<0.05).After 7 days of treatment, compared to the levels of serum hemoglobin and albumin in both groups after 7 days of treat-ment were higher than before treatment, and the levels of serum hemoglobin and albumin in the control group, those in the the experimental group were also significantly higher(P<0.05).Compared to the scores of abdominal pain and stool traits before treatment, those in the experimental group and control group after 7 days of treatment were significantly lower(P<0.05).After 7 days of treatment, compared to the scores of abdominal pain and stool traits in the control group, those in the experi-mental group were also significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early supplementation of salt solution in children with di-arrhea has good safety, can improve treatment effectiveness, and can also increase serum hemoglobin and albumin levels,pro-moting rapid relief of clinical symptoms in children.
