Correlation analysis between sarcopenia index and type 2 diabetic nephropathy in elderly patients
Objective:To study and analyze the correlation between sarcopenia index and elderly type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Methods:82 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes in our hospital from November 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the research object, according to the 24h urinary albumin excretion rate, the selected patients were divided into 40 cases of simple diabetes group and 42 cases of diabetic nephropathy group. The clinical data of the two groups were collected and com-pared.The evaluation indexes included general data, blood glucose level, blood lipid level, blood pressure level, renal function level, the influencing factors of elderly type 2 diabetic nephropathy were analyzed, and the correlation between sarcopenia index and elderly type 2 diabetic nephropathy was evaluated. Results:Single factor analysis showed that the course of disease,fast-ing blood glucose, postprandial 2 H blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, serum creatinine, estimated glomerular filtration rate,24h urinary albumin excretion rate, sarcopenia index was associated with the development of diabetic nephropathy(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that course of disease, glycosylated hemoglobin, estimated glomerular filtration rate,24h urinary albumin excretion rate, sarcopenia index were associated with the occurrence of diabetic nephropathy(P<0.05).The area under ROC curve of sarcopenia index for predicting elderly patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy was 0.720,the best cut-off value was 68.447,the sensitivity was 0.694,and the specificity was 0.633(P<0.001).Conclusion:In elderly pa-tients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy, sarcopenia index is an important independent risk factor, which is closely related to the occurrence of diabetic nephropathy, this index can be used to predict and evaluate diabetic nephropathy, which has important clinical value.
