Analysis on the current situation and influencing factors of nursing undergraduates'demand for death education knowledge
Objective:To investigate the current situation of nursing undergraduate students'demand for death education knowl-edge in a university in Kunming,and to explore its influencing factors.To carry out death education for nursing students to help them establish correct death concept and positive work attitude and professional belief.Methods:A group sample was se-lected from a university in Kunming to sample 275 undergraduate nursing students who met the standard.General data ques-tionnaire and death demand scale were used to investigate.And the data are analyzed.Results:The total score of death educa-tion needs of nursing students was(193.70±28.23)points,and the total score of items was(4.97±3.80)points.There were statistical differences between grades,family location,gender,whether they had experienced the death of relatives or patients,whether they had religious beliefs and the scores of death education needs(P＜0.05).Conclusion:In this survey,nursing un-dergraduates have a high demand for death education knowledge.Schools should systematically set and improve death education courses according to the scores of various dimensions of death education knowledge demand and its influencing factors,and in-tegrate death education into the whole process of training nursing undergraduates from a holistic perspective.
