Four-step Shaping Technique of Winegrape"Chang"Shape and Its Application Effect Investigation
In northwest China's viticulture,it is necessary to bury soil in autumn to prevent cold, therefore, suitable shaping technology was an important measure to ensure sustainable development of wine industry.Based on many years of practical experience, the four-step shaping technique of"Chang"shape was summarized in the paper by taking'Cabernet Sauvignon'and'Marselan'etc wine grape cultivars as the object. That was:to cultivate strong seedlings in first year,to cultivate strong vines in second year, some fruits were obtained in third year, and the tree was basically took shape in fourth year.Through the investigation of growth and development of young trees,it was found that the number of mature buds of new shoots of most varieties reached more than 10 in autumn in the first year, but the growth of'Cabernet Sauvignon''Merlot'and'Marslan'varieties were better in second year, and the growth of other varieties was worse. The results showed that the yield of 4-year-old trees was low, and'Cabernet Sauvignon'and'Marselan'had better performance, reaching 78.19%and 68.65%of 10-year-old trees, respectively. There was no significant difference in fruit quality between 4-year-old trees and 10-year-old trees. To sum up,the'Chnag'tree shape is suitable for wine viticulture in the northwest buried soil area in winter.
