Effects of Different Mowing Intensities on Growth and Net Photosynthesis and Soluble Sugar Content of Medicago sativa Linn.
The effects of different mowing intensities on the growth and physiological indices of Medicago sativa were studied.The results showed that moderate mowing could promote the regenerative capacity and the biomass.After mowing the leaf chlorophyll a content,the ratio of chlorophyll a/b and the net photosynthesis efficiency of Medicago sativa increased.And soluble sugar content of Medicago sativa leaves also increased.the range of soluble sugar content with light mowing intensity was greatest in three treatments,that with heavy mowing was next,and the range of sugar content without mowing was lowest.
