Genome-wide analysis of the SBP-box gene family in rose
SBP family plays an important role in the regulation of flowering time and the molecular mecha-nism of flower development of Chinese rose(Rosa chinensis). The whole genome of the rose SBP-box gene family was identified and analyzed, and the potential negative regulatory factor miR156 was predict-ed.The results showed that the rose SBP-box gene family comprises a total of 17 members, with protein lengths ranging from 156 to 1 075 amino acids. The upstream cis-elements were primarily associated with stress responses, hormone signaling, and light responsiveness.Notably,12 members of this gene family showed potential as target genes for miR156.Specifically,genes RcSBP4A/4B/8/9 in roses are likely to participate in early petal development, while genes RcSBP2/6C may be involved in petal maturation.More-over,RcSBP3/4B might serve as crucial factors for activating flowering regulation. The above study sum-marized the situation of Chinese rose SBP-box gene family and offers valuable insights for future investi-gations on the molecular mechanisms governing rose flowering regulation.
