Research progress on alternative splicing of ABA signaling in plants
Alternative splicing(AS)is an important post-transcriptional regulation mode in eukaryotic cells,in which precursor mRNA produces a variety of mature transcripts through different splicing methods, and then translates a variety of proteins to regulate a variety of life activities.Abscisic acid is an important plant hormone involved in the regulation of seed dormancy, root development, leaf senescence, organ shedding and response to environmental stress.Studies have shown that alternative splicing plays an im-portant role in ABA signaling. In this review,we review the recent progress of the identified AS-related splicing factors in the ABA signaling pathway and the genes related to AS-undergoing in the ABA response and their mechanisms, and show how they are related to ABA sensitivity, seed dormancy, flowering trans-formation and other processes, and make some predictions for future research directions,in order to pro-vide a theoretical basis for constructingcrops with stress resistence specific qualities and cultivating indi-viduals with excellent traits.
