Architecture is one of the important carriers of traditional Chinese culture,and the profound connection between architecture and culture runs through every aspect of the ancient Chinese architectural system.The article takes architectural design as the research object and elaborates on the application value of traditional culture in ancient architectural design from the perspectives of practicality,aesthetics,and culture;Explored the inheritance and embodiment of traditional culture in modern architectural design through classic cases from the aspects of design ideas,form,content,etc;Based on the characteristics of modern architectural design,the inheritance design principles of traditional culture in modern architectural design are proposed,aiming to provide ideas for enhancing cultural connotations in modern architectural design.
