This paper analyzes the current situation of existing cosmetic packaging materials,traces back their development history,and discusses the application of new materials and their influence on the design of cosmetic packaging.By the method of literature review and field observation,the development trend and technical characteristics of cosmetic packaging materials were sorted out.The introduction of new process technology has also brought more innovative possibilities for packaging design,which helps to improve the quality and artistry of packaging design,and promote consumers'sense of identity and purchase desire for products.In the use of cosmetic packaging,choosing the right materials and processes is the key to achieve packaging functions,pursue artistic effects and meet the requirements of sustainable development.
