In modern environmental art design,as an important element carrying cultural inheritance and aesthetic value,traditional residential decoration has extensive potential and attraction.However,its application is faced with problems such as blind imitation,insufficient integration and improper protection,which limits its maximum value in modern design.Therefore,this paper proposes strategies such as in-depth study of cultural connotation and skills,appropriate innovation and integration of modern elements,and strengthening protection and sustainability awareness,aiming to realize the best value representation of traditional residential decoration in modern environmental art design,which not only helps to carry forward national culture and enhance aesthetic charm,but also protects cultural heritage and promotes sustainable development.
