A comparative Study of Oriental Classical Gardens and Western Modern Architecture under the Theory of"Flowing Space"
Oriental classical gardens, through the spatial processing techniques of"virtual and real","small in big"and"combination of static and static",skillfully create the artistic conception of spatial mobility in the practice of gardening,so as to achieve the artistic effect of continuous space and situation integration. The flexible division of the garden space and the creation of the artistic conception of the ornamental route is similar to the construction of the"flowing space"of the modern architecture.Taking the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou and the German Pavilion in Barcelona as an example, this study analyzes the spatial sequence and spatial streamline to explore the similarity between the"flowing space"of oriental classical gardens and western modern architecture, which weakens the regional characteristics of the two and highlights the characteristics of the space itself.
