As a kind of visual element,color has a direct relationship with people's vision,and has an important influence on people's psychology and behavior.The color planning and application in the urban visual renewal design play an important role in shaping the city image,inheriting the historical context and continuing the city memory.This paper analyzes the necessity of color planning and application in urban visual renewal design,expounds the role of color in urban visual renewal design,points out the problems existing in urban color planning in China,and puts forward the strategy of urban color planning and design in the new period.
