Cave 61 of the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang is a merit cave built by Cao Yuanzhong,the fourth provincial envoy during the Five Dynasties.In the murals on the east,south,and north walls of the grottoes,there are 49 portraits of female donors from the Five Dynasties period.These female donors were Uyghurs,Khotan,and Han people,all of whom were noblewomen from the upper class of society at that time.The accessories worn by the characters were gorgeous and exquisite.Accessories are one of the important contents of the clothing of aristocratic women in ancient Chinese society.They not only have decorative functions,but more importantly,they have social functions that reflect social status and hierarchy.Taking historical image data as the research object and historical data as the evidence,this paper analyzes and studies the shape,texture,cultural connotation and characteristics of the accessories of Empress Khotan in the murals of Cave 61 in the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang,so as to intuitively display its shape characteristics,and realize the restoration research on the theory and real objects of the accessories of Empress Khotan.
