This paper deeply discusses the good use of and innovative practice of traditional culture in the design of Xinhuishan,aiming to reveal how this intangible cultural heritage is reborn in the context of modern design.Through a detailed analysis of the historical background,artistic characteristics and design concept of Xinhuishan clay figures,this paper shows its innovative strategies in inheriting classical elements and integrating local culture,as well as shape,function,material and craft.This paper holds that the design of Xinhuishan clay figure is not only a tribute to traditional culture,but also a deep integration of traditional handicrafts and modern design concepts,which provides new ideas and methods for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
