The development of cities depends on nature,and waterfront design is the key to ecological balance,witnessing the changes in urban environment.Faced with challenges such as water pollution and ecological imbalance brought about by urbanization,traditional riverbank design is facing difficulties.This article proposes the concept of elastic design,aiming to build a waterfront park with self-regulation ability and promote harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.The research covers background analysis,concept comparison,design principles,and practical applications.Taking the Binhe Park in Tongnan New City,Chongqing as an example,the aim is to strengthen the ecological system restoration ability and create a healthy and sustainable urban ecological space.
