Nowadays,people's living standards continue to improve,and the requirements for living environment are getting higher and higher,no longer limited to safety and comfort,but also emphasize a certain artistic characteristics. Caisson is a special decoration technology and a unique art formed by the people after a long time of creation. It not only plays a decorative role in ancient buildings,but also symbolizes status. It contains many patterns and colors,which can provide an effective reference for the interior design of modern buildings. This paper discusses the status quo of modern architectural interior design,analyzes the inheritance significance of traditional caisson art in modern architectural interior design,and puts forward the inheritance and application path of traditional caisson art in modern architectural interior design.
