The preservation of traditional residential structures is under more and more threat against the backdrop of the rural rehabilitation agenda. Through field investigation,data mapping and other methods,this paper studies and learns from the transformation and inheritance of the folk houses in Yunxi Library of Tonglu Vanguard. It summarizes the regional characteristics of traditional folk houses in the west of Guanzhong,and combines the protection and inheritance value of three aspects:folk houses' history and culture,ecological protection,and social development to probe into the inheritance and development strategy of Kansai traditional dwelling in adaptation to modern society. Reshape the regional characteristics of traditional architecture,return to the countryside,empower rural areas,and revitalize development.
