With the increasing aging level in China,the demand for elderly care and medical care among the elderly is also constantly increasing.Under the implementation of relevant national policies,it is imperative to develop a pension model that combines medical care with health and wellness.The institutional elderly care model that combines medical care,elderly care,and health care has improved the utilization of medical resources and solved the problem of difficult medical treatment for the elderly,to some extent alleviating the problem of insufficient elderly care facilities.Based on the current aging situation in Shenyang and the existing elderly care models,clarify the purpose and significance of the research.Based on background research,analyze the physiological,psychological,and behavioral characteristics of elderly people,clarify their spatial needs and principles for spatial design,and study the functional configuration of elderly care institutions that combine medical,elderly care,and health care.
