This article provides a detailed comparison of aging friendly design practices in old communities between China and Japan in terms of spatial layout,accessible facilities,outdoor space environment,and other aspects.It summarizes the differences in aging friendly design practices between China and Japan.Through comparative research,we have found that Japan's advanced experience in aging friendly design is worthy of China's reference and learning.At the same time,China also needs to explore suitable aging design models based on its own national conditions and cultural background.
