Comparative Study for Influence of Mixing Chamber on Turbine in Multiple Working Conditions
Based on a low-power turbine with variable speed, the influence of axial length of mixing chamber on performance of turbine unit with the valve fully opened and in rated working conditions is studied by numerical simulation method. The results show that, along with the increase of axial length, the multistage efficiency is improved gradually and enhanced faster in rated working condition. The axial length of mixing chamber only affects the performance of control stage(including the inlet and mixing chamber)and the second stage. In valve fully opened working condition, along with the increase of axial length of mixing chamber, the moving blade loss of control stage increases gradually, but the steam flow uniformity at the outlet of mixing chamber is improved,so the efficiency of control stage reduces gradually, and the efficiency of the second stage is enhanced gradually. In rated working condition, along with the increase of axial length, the blade loss of control stage reduces gradually, and the steam flow uniformity at the outlet of mixing chamber is improved,so the efficiency of control stage and the second stage is enhanced.
