Solid-gas Two-phase Flow Field Analysis and Erosive Wear Study of Ball Valve Based on PDM
Aiming at the erosion problem of natural gas carrying sand flowing through the ball valve,detailed study and evaluation on distribution status,erosion rate and the maximum erosion rate zone of flow field by Fluent fluid analog simulation software based on K-epsilon turbulence model and E/CRC erosion model.The results show that there is a linear correlation between particles diameter and erosion rate,and an exponential change between inlet velocity and erosion rate.The opening of valve has great influence on the erosion rate,and the smaller the valve opening,the more obvious erosion.The maximum erosion zone will vary with the changes of valve opening.All the researches in this paper can provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for erosive wear prediction,repair and structural optimization of ball valve.
