Research on Structure Optimization and Application of Heavy Duty Face Milling Cutter 60ZM
Tool failure is a common and serious problem in heavy cutting.In the process of heavy cutting,the cutting force and cutting temperature are much higher than those of ordinary cutting,which makes the tool face great challenges in the process of machining and seriously restricts the machining efficiency and quality.In this paper,the rough machining of the key part"rolling mill frame"of the metallurgical equipment is taken as an example.The cutting technology research and design structure optimization are carried out for the heavy face milling cutter 60ZM,and the multi-modal and multi-parameter verification,simulation and field verification are carried out by FEA software,so as to improve the rigidity and heat dissipation performance of the tool,improve the stability and life of the tool in the machining process,reduce the possibility of tool failure,effectively shorten and reduce the production cycle and cost.
