On Methodological Strategies for the Realization of Artificial Cognition
As a new research field,artificial cognition is formed on the basis of natural cognition research and stimulated by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.Given the difference between the continuity of natural cognition and the discontinuity of artificial cognition,the strategies for implementing artificial cognition,from a methodological point of review,need to consider the unity of various properties pumping up at different stages in the development from life to intelligence,such as the unification of the goal-referentiality and bio-semioticility of living systems,of the anticipation or prediction and contextuality of perceptual systems,of the emergent and generative nature of consciousness systems,of the simulational and representational nature of mental systems,and of the reconfigurative and cultural nature of intelligent systems.In this manner,the unification of all these properties on the basis of adaptive representations may provide a possible methodology to the realization of artificial cognition.
