Application of early enteral nutrition support based on nutrition tolerance grading nursing strategy in ICU patients with cerebral hemorrhage
Objective To explore the clinical effect of early enteral nutrition support based on nutrition tolerance grading nursing strategy for patients with cerebral hemorrhage in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods A total of 100 patients with cerebral hemorrhage admitted to The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from November 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and a retrospective analysis was conducted. These patients were divided into two groups according to different nursing methods, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given early enteral nutrition support, and the observation group was given early enteral nutrition support based on nutrition tolerance grading nursing strategy. The nursing period was a month from patient admission. The nutritional status, immune function, condition, incidence of complications and treatment time of the two groups were compared. Results After 28 days of intervention, the levels of serum total protein, serum prealbumin and albumin,as well as the levels of immunoglobulin G,immunoglobulin M and immunoglobulin A in both groups of patients were increased compared with those at admission. These indicators in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 28 days of intervention, the Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)scores of both groups increased compared to admission, and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)scores of both groups decreased compared to admission. The GCS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while the NIHSS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group. The above differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the ICU stay and total hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Early enteral nutrition support based on nutrition tolerance grading nursing strategy for ICU patients with cerebral hemorrhage can improve the nutritional status and immune function of patients, alleviate their condition, shorten the treatment time, and reduce the incidence of complications.
