Application of bloodletting puncture combined with elastic bandage compression cold compress in patients with ankle periarticular fractures
Objective To explore the effect of bloodletting puncture combined with elastic bandage compression cold compress on patients with ankle periarticular fractures. Methods A total of 100 patients with ankle periarticular fractures admitted to Wuxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to August 2022 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,100 patients with ankle periarticular fractures were divided into a conventional group(50 cases, treated with conventional cold compress)and an observation group(50 cases, treated with bandage compression and bloodletting puncture on the basis of the conventional group). The swelling degree(ankle swelling score),pain degree(Visual Analogue Scale[VAS]),safety, incidence of surgical complications, detumescence time, hospitalization time, and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results On the third and fifth day of treatment, the ankle swelling scores of both groups decreased compared to before treatment(all P<0.05),and this score was lower in the observation group than in the conventional group during the same period(both P<0.05).On the fifth day of treatment, the ankle swelling scores of both groups decreased compared to the third day of treatment(both P<0.05).After 5 days of treatment, the VAS scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment(both P<0.05),and this score was lower in the observation group than in the conventional group(P<0.05).The detumescence time of the observation group was earlier than that of the conventional group, and the hospitalization time of the observation group was shorter than that of the conventional group. The total incidence of surgical complications in the observation group was lower than that in the conventional group during the treatment period, and the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the conventional group(all P<0.05).The renal function, blood routine indexes, urine routine indexes and electrocardiogram of patients in the two groups were normal during the treatment period, and there were no adverse reactions to medication or acupuncture. Conclusion Bloodletting puncture combined with elastic bandage compression cold compress can reduce the degree of swelling and pain of patients with ankle periarticular fractures, shorten the detumescence time and hospitalization time, reduce the incidence of surgical complications, and improve clinical efficacy.
