Effect of pulmonary rehabilitation nursing based on frailty grading on pulmonary function of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To explore the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation nursing based on frailty grading on the elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Ninety elderly COPD patients admitted to Tongji Hospital,Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology from August 2020 to August 2021 were divided into two groups using a random number table. The 45 cases in the control group carried out routine graded nursing, while the 45 cases in the observation group carried out pulmonary rehabilitation nursing based on frailty grading. The pulmonary function recovery, blood gas parameters, and frequency of acute exacerbations were compared between the two groups. Results After 2 weeks of nursing, the recovery of pulmonary function and blood gas parameters of the two groups were superior to those before intervention, and the observation group performed better than the control group, with statistical differences(all P<0.05).At 2 months after discharge, the frequency of acute exacerbations of the two groups was less than that before intervention, and the frequency of the observation group was less than that of the control group, with statistical differences(all P<0.05).Conclusion Pulmonary rehabilitation nursing based on frailty grading can promote the recovery of pulmonary function in COPD patients, improve their blood gas parameters, and reduce the frequency of acute exacerbations.
