Effect of traditional Chinese medicine emotion and exercise therapy on the rehabilitation of patients with functional dyspepsia due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach
Objective To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine emotion and exercise therapy on the rehabilitation of patients with functional dyspepsia due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach.Methods A total of 82 patients with functional dyspepsia due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach were recruited from Shunde Hospital of Southern Medical University between February 2020 and February 2023.They were divided into two groups by the use of a random number table,with 41 cases in each group.The control group received intervention of routine nursing,while the observation group additionally received intervention of traditional Chinese medicine emotion and exercise therapy.The rehabilitation effect of the two groups was compared.Results After 2 months of intervention,the observation group had lower scores of various traditional Chinese medicine symptoms,Self-Rate Anxiety Scale,and Self-Rate Depression Scale,lower levels of gastrin and somatostatin,a higher level of motilin,and a higher score of Quality of Life Index compared with the control group(all P<0.05).After 2 months of intervention,the above scores and indicators of both groups were better than those before intervention(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of traditional Chinese medicine emotion and exercise therapy in patients with functional dyspepsia due to deficient cold of spleen and stomach can help improve their clinical symptoms and gastrointestinal hormone levels,alleviate their negative emotions,and improve their quality of life.
