Effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation strategy on rehabilitation quality of patients with cerebral infarction and hemiplegia
Objective To explore the improvement effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation strategy on the rehabilitation quality of patients with cerebral infarction and hemiplegia.Methods A total of 110 patients who received systematic treatment and rehabilitation training at Xuzhou City Hospital of TCM from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research subjects.Following the envelope randomization method,the patients were assigned into a control group and an observation group,with 55 cases in each group.The control group received comprehensive rehabilitation strategy,and the observation group received acupuncture and moxibustion based on the comprehensive rehabilitation strategy.The neurological function,clinical efficacy,degree of joint spasticity,limb motor function,and activities of daily living of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment after intervention was compared between the two groups,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of intervention,the wrist,ankle,elbow,and knee scores of the Modified Ashworth Scale in the two groups were lower than those before intervention(all P<0.05),and the observation group showed lower joint scores than the control group(all P<0.05).After 2 and 8 weeks of intervention,the scores of the activities of daily living scale,the Fugl-Meyer Assessment,and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale in the two groups were better than those before intervention(all P<0.05),and the observation group had better scores than the control group at the corresponding time points(all P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with comprehensive rehabilitation strategy has a positive effect on improving the neurological function,joint spasticity,limb motor function,and activities of daily living of patients with cerebral infarction and hemiplegia,as well as improving the clinical efficacy.
